A Night To Rember!!!!

Couple weeks ago I had 2 friends surprise me with Bret Michaels (Poison) concert tickets! Shauna, Steph, and myself were so ready to rock last night! We headed down to Salt Lake for a yummy dinner at the Gateway! Then walked over to The Depot! What a great venue...,only holds 1200 people, they have a full bar for those that drink, and its a very intimate setting. We ended up 3 ROWS FROM THE STAGE!!!! YEP!!! Believe it!Look at how close we were....OMG!!!
He played so many great songs that had us "Rocking" all night long! I had such an incredible time! Check out these YUMMY pics of Bret Michaels!
Some of my most favorite songs he sang were....Sweet Home Alabama, Unskinny-Bop, Talk dirty To Me, Look What The Cat Drug In, Fallin Angels, and Every Rose Has Its Thorn. Plus so many more...the night just kept going!


This is the drummer for Poison..Chuck..Shauna and I got to meet him! I can not believe how close we were. I actually didnt have to zoom in for any of my pictures! Its crazy to think that Bret Michaels has been so close to death this year and here he is putting on a hell of a show! Truly an amazing night with great friends, yummy dinner, good memories, ears still ringing, and a night with Bret Michaels! HERES TO YA!!!

Groovy Time !

Well Zach attended his first high school dance this past Sat. His day started off with Tiffanie (his girlfriend) picking him up at 11am for coffee. Headed to Einsteins for bagels and then ice-skating up at the rink. He said there were so many kids from his school up there and that he had a fun time. Tiffanie brought him home around 5. She later came back over with his matching glasses and shirt .( The dance was a tye-dyed theme.) A group of kids picked Zach up around 6 and then headed to T.G.I.F.s for a yummy dinner. They then headed over to the school for pictures and some dancing...which Zach said he had a great time! After the dance a group of kids went to the movies. He got home around 12:30am.....must say I was impressed cause his curfew was 1am. He definately made some brownie points there!!! Zach said he had a blast that day and thought the dance was way fun!

hAllOweEn FuN

Heres how it went down...gutted the pumpkins and ate some yummy seeds!

On Saturday day my Mom and I took Lexie to a free carnival in Ogden! SHe had a great time riding the swings, jumping in the bounce house, and Spin the Apple!

They had a live band that was actually pretty good! They had free balloons,food, and games as well! Lexie ended the day at the carnival with some fancy face tatoos!!! Later that evening we all got dressed up and headed out to go trick or treating! Zach and his girlfriend Tiffanie dressed up a deer and the hunter...very creative! Lexie was a baby! And Tiffanies brother Colten was a ninja!

Nobody minded that it was raining! They had a one track mind....CANDY!!! I love this picture of the beautiful rainbow on HalLowEEn night!
Our neighborhood seems to get into the HalLowEeN spirit!All the adults dress up to take their kids out! And the parents that answer the doors have great costumes! Here are some of my favorites!!!

Alaina and her cute family came over just as we got home from a 2 hour trek and many blocks later. So Lexie emptied her bag and hit the pavement for more candy! I believe we were trick or treating for nearly 3 hours total!!!This was Lexie 2nd bag of goodies!
The kids ended up with so many goodies....lots of candy, pop, stickers, popcorn, pencils, and little trinkets! It was a night of good friends, great memories, and spooky times!

CRAZY SCHOOL DAYS

Today is crazy socks and hair day at Farr West Elem. I had no idea Lexie was going to take it as far as she did! This is what my funny Lexie decided to wear to school today......
I LOVE IT!!!

Dance Time!!!

It's hard to believe I have a child in high school. Where has all the time gone! Last week my little boy Zach got asked to Sadies! He has been seeing a cute girl named Tiffanie! She is a senior, loves horses, does rodeoing, and gives Zach a run for his money. I love that part!
So stinking cute! Zach was so embarrassed! He turned so red IN THE CAR!!! She got him good! We waited a couple days and then Zach responded...it was fun helping Zach out!Zach got her pretty good as well. She thought Zach only did the candy poster. And then a little while later she actually opened her door to her room and saw the rest!


Only seemed fitting to do something with horses! Tiff goes riding every day! She thought Zach was very clever! I think he did a great job as well!!!

Birthday Weekend

We have several brithdays in Oct. so we decided to have a birthday bbq at our house last weekend! Taya turned 15! And it is also Andys and his fiance Micheles birthday as well.It was fun getting everyone together! We had yummy gourmet hamburgers, polish dogs, baked beans, and chips! And instead of cake and icecream we had banana splits! My mom was having fun on a neighbors scooter....

PArk CiTy

The last 2 weekends I have gone up to Park city to scrapbook. I forgot my camera the 1st trip! Stupid I know! There were 8 of us this year. We headed up thurs. afternoon and most of us came home sunday evening. We stayed up late, ate delicious food, did a lot of laughing, and got a lot of scrappin done!

I headed back up there again this past friday for a night with another group of friends and I took Lexie this time! We somehow managed to fix 6 of us into a condo that was built for 2. Lexie and I had fun wearing our billy-bob candy teeth...

I am rocking this picture!!!! LOL Anyways it was Alainas birthday friday so Lexie and I surprised her with a red velvet (her favorite) birthday cake! So we sang to her as she blew out her wanna-be candle!

And ,of course, here is Pyper...reading, curled up under the covers. Lexie brought up her "secret journal" and was hanging out with Pyp!
I am so glad that Lexie came up! She walked around and watched what everyone was scrappin, and she loved playing on my circut!
Lexie is so sweet...she brought up 2 pairs of her toe socks so we could wear them "together" as we hung out for the night!

Needless to say I didnt get hardly anything done...I just enjoyed watching Lex have a good time! We got up early the next morning and ate some yummy pumpkin cinnamon rolls brought by Shauna!(forgot to take her pic...ooops!) Then we all got ready to go shopping! I must say Lexie got spoiled!!! I didnt do any shopping for myself or anyone else that day....just Lexie! We found so many great deals for her! I had to be to work sat. night so Lexie and I headed home around 2:30. She was exhausted...she feel asleep 15 minutes into the ride home! I must admit that I was worried about taking Lexie up there thinking she would be bored but she did great! She did tell me that we forgot to do one thing during the "sleepover"!!! A pillow fight...so on Sunday night Lex and I had our pillow fight!!! I just love that girl!!!!

sCHoOL dAyS !

SO SAD THAT SCHOOL IS FINALLY UPON US! I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THE SUMMER DAYS WITH ZACH AND LEXIE. LEXIE IS STARTING 4TH GRADE AT FARR WEST ELEM. SHE HAS MANY OF HER FRIENDS IN HER CLASS AND SHE HIT IT OFF WITH HER TEACHER THIS YEAR. THIS WAS THE FISRT YEAR THAT I DIDNT HAVE TO DRIVE OVER TO THE SCHOOL AND WALK LEXIE TO HER CLASSROOM. LEAVING HER CRYING IN HER SEAT CAUSE SHE IS SO NERVOUS. I ASKED HER IF I NEEDED TO MEET HER OVER AT THE SCHOOL AND SHE WAS LIKE, "MOM ARE YOU SERIOUS I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING!" WOW!!!! YEP SHE IS GROWING UP TOO FAST.
WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE THE BUS STOP LOCATED RIGHT IN OUR DRIVEWAY! THE KIDS ALL GOT TO THE STOP VERY EARLY ON THE FIRST DAY! THEY ALL LOOKED SO CUTE IN THEIR NEW CLOTHES.
ZACH IS GOING TO BE A SOPHMORE AT FREMONT HIGH THIS YEAR.I CANT BELIEVE IT! I HAVE BEEN PRETTY EMOTIONAL THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS. HE IS GROWING UP TOO FAST!

HE WAS TERRIFIED THE FIRST DAY! I WORRIED ALL DAY ABOUT HIM! HE DID FIND ALL HIS CLASSES AND LOVES ALL HIS TEACHERS! ALTHOUGH HE TEXTED ME TODAY , THE 2ND DAY OF SCHOOL, TO LET ME KNOW HE GOT LOST GOING TO A CLASS...GOOD THING TARDIES ARENT STARTING UNTIL NEXT WEEK! HE LOVES THAT YOU CAN GO OFF CAMPUS FOR LUNCH! AND HE CANT WAIT TO DRIVE HIS TRUCK WHEN HE GETS HIS LICENSE IN DEC. HE KEEPS TELLING ME, " MOM, I AM NOT READY TO BE A BIG BOY YET!" LOL
I MUST SAY THAT I AM HAPPY FOR THEM THAT THEY ARE BOTH SO EXCITED FOR SCHOOL BUT I AM NOT ONE BIT HAPPY FOR ALL THE HOMEOWRK THAT COMES ALONG WITH IT!!!!

LAGOON DAY

YESTERDAY I TOOK LEXIE, ZACH, AND HIS GIRLIEFRIEND BRANDI TO LAGOON. YA IT WASNT HOT!!! NOT!!!! I DIDNT BRING A CAMERA CAUSE LEXIE IS GETTING OLDER AND IS GETTING BRAVER ABOUT TRYING NEW RIDES. LET ME START OFF BY SAYING THAT I CAN NOT RIDE THE RIDES! THEY ALL MAKE ME SICK TO MY STOMACH! AND OF COURSE, LEXIE STEPS UP AND WANTS TO RIDE SOME OF THE BIGGER RIDES!I DID NOT BRING DRAMAMINE! WE RODE THE WOODEN ROLLER COASTER 3 TIMES AND THE TIDAL WAVE ( THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BARF! ) SHE WAS RUNNING FROM RIDE TO RIDE WANTING ME TO GO WITH HER! AND OF COURSE ZACH AND BRANDI WERE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. YES I REALLY HAD TO FIGHT THE URGE TO NOT THROW UP ON EVERY RIDE!!! THE THINGS WE DO FOR OUR KIDS! ANYWAYS WE ALL HAD DINNER TOGETHER AND PLAYED SOME GAMES. ZACH AND BRANDI EACH WON LEXIE A STUFFED ANIMAL! SHE WAS IN HEAVEN! LEIXE JUST REALLY WANTED TO STAY AND GO ON MORE RIDES BUT MY TUMMY WAS VERY UPSET SO WE HEADED HOME AROUND 8. THIS IS THE ONLY PICTURE I TOOK OF LEXIE....
SHE FELL ASLEEP I BET 10 MINUTES INTO THE RIDE HOME! SHE WAS A TIRED LITTLE GIRL! EVEN THOUGH IT WAS HOT WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME. I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH MY KIDS!

A SWEET DAY !!!

LAST WEEK WE MET UP WITH KYLEE AND HER KIDS DOWN AT SWEETS CANDY IN SALT LAKE. I AM UP FOR SOMETHING NEW AND FREE!
WE FIRST HAD TO WATCH A VIDEO ABOUT THE HISTORY OF SWEETS. WE HAD TO REMOVE ALL JEWELRY AND WE ALL HAD TO WEAR HAIR NETS. ZACH FOUND IT QUITE "COOL" THAT ANY MAN WITH ANY KIND OF FACIAL HAIR HAD TO WEAR A BEARD MASK. AND ,OF COURSE, HE HAS FACIAL HAIR!!!!
WE ALL KEPT SAYING THAT ZACH LOOKED LIKE SANTA!!! AND ZACHS GIRLFRIEND BRANDI COULDNT HAVE HER PICTURE TAKEN WITH HER NET ON HER HEAD.... THE TOUR LASTED 45-60 MINUTES. IT WAS VERY INTERESTING. WE LEARNED ALL ABOUT HOW JELLY BEANS ARE MADE AND THAT THEY TAKE 7 DAYS FROM START TO FINISH. LEARNED HOW CINNAMON BEARS ARE FORMED IN THE MOLDS, WE GOT TO SEE THEM MAKE CHOCOLATE CARAMEL NUT CLUSTERS. WE ALSO GOT TO SEE HOW THEY MAKE AND PACKAGE THE TAFFY. EACH AREA HAD DIFFERENT SMELLS, AND OF COURSE, THE BEST AREA FOR ME WAS THE CHOCOLATE ROOM. VERY YUMMY! WE ENDED THE TOUR WITH GOING TO CANDY STORE AND LETTING THE KIDS GET SOME CANDY TO TAKE HOME.



AFTER LOADING UP THIER BAGS WITH CANDY WE HEADED OVER TO THE GATEWAY. WE ATE AT COSTA VIDA!!! I JUST LOVE THAT PLACE! THE KIDS WERE STARVING AND BEHAVING SO I HAD TO SNAP THIS CUTE PIC.
AFTER OUR YUMMY LUNCH WE STROLLED ALONG IN THE 100 DEGREE WEATHER AND HEADED DOWN TO THE LITTLE SPLASH PAD AREA AND LET THE KIDS COOL OFF. THE KIDS DID ALOT OF GIGGLING AND LAUGHING AS THEY RAN AROUND AND GOT WET!
WE NOTICED THAT CHANNEL 2 AND 5 WERE FILMING ALL THE KIDS RUNNING AROUND. THERE WAS ALSO A BEAUTY PAGANT GOING ON THAT WEEK AND ALL THE LADIES WERE SHOWING UP IN THEIR BANNERS AND CROWNS. LEXIE GOT OVER 8 AUTOGRAPHS FROM LADIES LIKE...MS. TEEN USA
AND MS UTAH LET HER TRY HER CROWN ON....
I LOVE JAXONS LOOK ON HIS FACE...LIKE I AM SO EMBARRASSED... JUST HURRY AND TAKE THE PICTURE!!! WE HAD A REALLY FUN DAY! CANDY, CHOCOLATE, GIGGLES, PRETTY GIRLS, GREAT FRIENDS, AND GOOD MEMORIES!!!!
